Tell us about your fitness career so far…
I started as a tennis player at the age of 14. In 4 years I was ranked 3rd in my country. I got injured badly and that stopped me playing for a while. I never gave up and decided to become a tennis coach. I moved to Kuwait in 2007 and started my group fitness career.
In 2010, Les Mills changed my life. I was 7 months pregnant when I took my first 2 modules here in Kuwait. I discovered the huge amount of energy and passion I have for these programmes.
In 2014 I was invited to a Les Mills Trainer and Presenter bootcamp which really unlocked a lot of potential for me. Now, as a Trainer and Presenter, I always strive to be the best I can be.
I’ve continued to reach my goals and dreams both working for Les Mills and in my other job as Group Fitness Manager at ALCorniche Club in Kuwait.
More recently, I received some of the best news yet. I was selected to take part in the filming of BODYPUMP100 in New Zealand.
My journey won’t stop here. I know where I want to be and I work every day to reach my goals.
If you weren’t a fitness Instructor, you would be….
Tennis Coach if it's real life. A singer if I am dreaming!
Fun Fact
When I walk listening to music I have to match my steps to the rhythm and also take every single possible opportunity to dance.
What’s your ideal day off?
Cleaning the home while listening to music and dancing in my pyjamas. It's my kind of meditation. :)
What made you become a Les Mills Instructor?
I was introduced to Les Mills by a previous Group Fitness manager in order to help the club and members. I had no idea what Les Mills was, but I threw myself into the experience and I am more than happy that I did. I am proud to be a member of this worldwide Tribe.
What’s the highlight of your career?
Definitely presenting with the Middle East team at the filming of BODYPUMP100. It was great to work alongside all the Trainers from around the world in this EPIC worldwide event.
Thanks Iman!
