If you could choose one person to work out with, who would it be and why?
Louie Simmons, an American powerlifter and strength coach who is the founder of the Westside Barbell Gym. He’s a very strong man who is very knowledgeable and inspiring.
What’s your favorite workout routine?
I am always doing BODYPUMP™, RPM™ and LES MILLS SPRINT™ workouts, and I love it! But I also like a change of scenery every now and then. One of my favorite workouts is doing the New Zealand Navy Base’s circuit training course – it’s a great metabolic blast with burpees, push ups, jumping lunges, sumo jumps, squat jumps, chin-ups, dips and of course running.
What does a cheat day look like for you?
Once a week I like to eat burgers, or fish and chips, or pizza!
If you had to choose your last meal, what would it be?
Bangers and mash with peas and lots of tomato sauce – that would be my ultimate last meal.
How do you relax, de-stress and chill out?
I love to watch movies, especially ones that have a good story to them. One that I recently found really inspiring was My All American.
If you could change one thing about your appearance, what would it be?
I would grow my hair super long, then tie it up in a ponytail like John Travolta – he’s cool.
What characteristic do you most admire in other people?
I admire people who are successful, those who have set goals, struggled, failed and then succeeded.
Name the last book you read, the last movie you watched, and track you currently have on high rotate.
The last book was Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins. The last movie I watched was a good one, Baby Driver. Right now What About Us by P!nk is the track I’m listening to a lot.
What social media can’t you live without? Favorite feeds?
I think I can live without social media – in fact I tend to shy away from it altogether.
If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?
My super power would be to predict the future. Then I could work out the Lotto numbers, win lots of money and spend all my time on a super yacht in the Mediterranean.
What’s the best non-physical thing about staying in shape?
It teaches you to be disciplined, dedicated and determined.
Who should play you in the movie based on your life?
The Rock – he’s just funny.
