Tell us about your career so far…
After leaving school as a sprinter at a National level all I knew is that I didn't want a 9-5! I wanted something active!
I became a personal trainer at 18 and went on to travel around America, Mexico, Caribbean, Alaska and Australia on cruise ships as a PT. I came back to the UK and spent the next 8 years as a Fitness and Studio Manager for 2 big health club chains.
In 2012 I was offered a place as a Rookie on the LES MILLS™UK trainer team. Since then I’ve not looked back! I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world presenting, and I’ve been able to deliver Initial Module Training and Advanced Instructor Module Training (AIM) in 5 programmes, which is just one of the most rewarding jobs ever.
If you weren’t a fitness instructor, you would be....
Vet or a Nurse
What’s your ideal day off?
In the sun, on the beach, sharing amazing food and laughs with the people closest to me.... with a puppy!
What made you become a Les Mills instructor?
13 years ago, I was one of those personal trainers who my gym ‘chucked on a course’. I had no idea what Les Mills was, what the training or classes involved, and was fairly convinced that I was going to hate it!
The weekend of my BODYCOMBAT™ training changed my mind forever. Since then I’ve become qualified in 10 programmes and haven’t looked back.
What’s the highlight of your career?
It has to be the experience of BODYATTACK™ 90 filming with my 2 biggest female role models, Lisa Osbourne and Amy Styles.
Kate will be heading to the Middle East next month for BODYATTACK training. Join her in Dubai. You can sign up for the sessions below on the Instructor Portal.
